Deaf Hard of Hearing
The program for D/deaf and Hard of Hearing provides direct and consultative services to students on a continuum of hearing loss and accessibility/ communication modalities based on their eligibility and IEP goals. Teachers of the D/deaf and Hard of Hearing provide these services on an itinerant basis throughout the six school districts included in the Hamilton Boone Madison Cooperative. They also provide support and training to the general education staff and related service professionals regarding the student’s hearing loss, accessibility and communication needs, goals and accommodations, auxiliary amplification (DM, FM, amplification device, etc) and personal hearing devices.
